got blood and platelet transfusion

on friday i again had to get my blood labs done. my Hb and platelet count was low so i had to get 2 unit transfusions of blood and 5 units of platelets. they took the whole day and i came home at 2:00 am in the morning. its always so busy in the hospital on mon and fri. due chemo my appetite is again disturbed. my stomach always feels so full. i think this sideeffect will hopefully go away soon.

third cycle of chemo complete

i met the doc on wed. it went ok. he was saying that if the blasting decreases in this cycle then its ok and i will continue taking the chemo that im taking now or else they will give me another chemo. the third cycle of my chemo is now complete. the doc was saying that they will do a bonemarrow aspiration in 1-2 weeks to see how many blast cells are present. i also got my blood labs done wed everything was ok so i didnt need blood or platelets.

the next day i got my platelet tranfusion. but the next day when i again got my blood labs done again my platelet count was low and so was my Hb so i again got a blood and platelet transfusion on friday. i got 2 units of blood and 6 units of platelets. my friend jagdeep came to vist me at my home. we enjoyed alot. one good thing about being here is that i get to meet my friends and family and dont have stay all the time in my room by myself. in india the doc would not let anyone visit me.

no platelets in hospital

today again i had a doc appointment. my Hb was ok but my platelet count was low. i was supposed to get a platelet transfusion today but the hospital was out of platelets so i will have to get them tomarrow. platelets  are needed to form a clot when there is bleeding. it means they stop bleeding. since my platelet count was low i need to be carefull so i dont hurt my self and cause bleeding. my third chemo cycle started so im feeling a bit nausea. but everything else is fine by grace of god.

cancer cells decreased

well  had my bone marrow aspiration done on monday. i also got transfusion of platelets on monday. the pain during the aspiration is alot less here then in india. in india it was so bad and the pain would go for so many days. it was really scary there.

 

i also got my bone aspiration report on wednesday. the result was not as i had wanted. the blasting(cancer cells) had decreased 20%. i was hoping that they would have decreased alot more. now the cancer cells are 68%.

 

the doc said it was ok. he did not change my medcine and said i should take it one more cycle and hopefully it will decrease the cancer cells more this time. i have aagain started the chemo medcine again starting today. i will have to take it for 14 days and then after 2-3 weeks again they will do a bone marrow aspiration.

 

on wednesday i also got 2 transfusions of blood as again my haemoglobin had decreased.

got blood transfusion

on wed i had an appointment with my doc. he said that on mon they would be doing the bonemarrow and by friday they would have the results. im praying that this time the results will be alot better then the last time.

my blood count was low so i had 2 transfusions of blood and 4 units of platelets. well i hope that will keep my counts up a week. when ever i have to get a transfusion it always takes so long and i get tired. on wed i came home at 11 pm.

well again i have to go hospital to marrow to get my blood checked again.

 

got blood tests done

today i had an appointment to get my blood checked. all was ok so i didnt need to get any kind of tranfusion.  thats probely coz i got 2 units of blood and a unit of platelets on sat so i guess they probely increased the haemoglobin.

i have been feeling ok but my sleep has become distrubed. im not able to sleep properly and when i wake up i feel just so tired and restless. i have been having headachs also. when they occur they are unberable. they pain alot and then after some time they go away. thank god for that.

well in 2-3 weeks my bone marrow aspiration will be done and that will show how much the chemo has worked. im praying to god that everything will hopefully be alright.
