4th chemo done

i had a doc appointment on wed. he said that i would again have to get chemo. so for the past 1 week i was in the hospital getting my chemo. the chemo didnt work much so this time the chemo was a mixture of 3 different types of drugs.   during the chemo treatment 1 of the chemo drugs gave me high fever of 105 degree so they gave me alot of steroids to keep the temp down. at first i thought the fever was do to some infection and everyone got scared but then the doc said it was probably due to chemo. now im at home and will go to the hospital on wed for my blood tests.

blasting did not decrease. . . . .

i had my bone marrow aspiration done on friday and the result was on wed. we were excited that hopefully this time the blasting(cancer cells) would have decreased a lot. but on wed when we went to see the doc we found out that the result was not good. the blasting had not decreased even a little bit since the last chemo.   last time the blasting was 68% and now the blasting was 75%. my cancer cells had not decreased but they had increased even more.   next wed i have another appointment with the doc and then they will tell what they plan to do next.

getting better

had my doc appointment. he said that he would not change the medicine but they will just wait and watch. the biosy report said the swelling on my legs was not due to any infection but it was a reaction to one of the antibiotics that they gave me. well the swelling on my legs is better now. i dont have trouble putting weight on my legs. when i walk a bit the swelling on my legs increases again so now im walking very little. the fissure pian has increased and is very painfull.

not well

i finally came home on tuesday. though i dont have a fever but i still feel sick. i just cant explain how im feeling. its like my whole body aches. my leg hurts from the biopsy and also from the swellings that are there. i cant walk properly coz my legs starts to pain when i put weight on them. my rectal fissure has again started to pain. i now also have a cold with watery eyes and nose to make things worse. i have an appointment with the doc on friday then maybe they will change my medicine or give me new one.

had a biopsy done

my fever is almost gone. it s ok during the day but at night the temp again starts to increase. they gave me so many antibitics over the last week. the swelling that i had on my leg is also getting better but it still pains when i walk. as the docs didnt know what was the cause of the swelling on my legs they gave me steroids to stop a reaction to one of the antibiotics and they also started a new antibiotic just in case if it was do to some infection. they also did a biopsy of the swelling to check it for infection or something else. in the biopsy they made a cut on my leg and then took a small amount of the swelling off. i got 3 stiches on my leg from were they took the skin. my leg was paining before but now because of stiches it has become even more painfull. the result of the biopsy will come in a couple of days. maybe after the result the doc will now the cause of the swelling.

in alot of pain

i have been seeing alot of docs since monday. they still have not really found a cause for the fever. one doc will say its an infection, another its a fungal infection, and then another will come and say it because of the chemo which made the white cells count low. the white cells are needed to fight infection. they just dont know so they have put me on alot and i mean alot of antibiotics. the antibiotics they have put me on are also very strong. they did decrease my fever for a day but then again i got a fever and this time with the fever i also got these little swellings on my lower legs. yesterday the swellings were small and not that painfull but today they have become so painfull and red. i can not walk properly now as when i put weight on my legs they pain alot. the doc said they might be an sideeffect of the antibiotics they are giving me. they also said it could be an infection. they have to do a biopsy of the swellings and that cant be done till monday. so they cant treat the swellings till then. i will just have to bear the pain till monday.

HIGH FEVER again

the last 2 days have been really bad for me. since monday i have been running a very high fever. on monday i had to go to the emergency room after which i got admitted to the hospital. the  fever is getting high as 103.9 and will not come down to normal. the fever might get down to 100 but instead of going more down to the normal 98.6 it will again increase. the last 2 days have made me really tired. the doc did all my tests like blood test, x-ray, ct scans and all was normal. the doc could not find a cause for my high and on going fever. i did have fevers before but nothing like this one. my temp never raised so much like this. when i used to take fever medcine it would come down to normal but this time its just not coming down. since the last 2 days the mininum temp was 99.9. im just praying to god that my temp will be normal soon coz it has made me really tired...
